"And the sun rose for him" (Genesis 32:32). But did it rise for him alone? Did it not rise for the whole world? Rather, [it rose for him] to heal his thigh; but for others it was fire and flame. Another interpretation: "And the sun rose for him." The sun that had set on his account rose on his account, as it is said, "And the sun rose for him."
