"The reward of humility is the fear of the LORD, wealth and honor and life" (Proverbs 22:4). Rabbi Hanin said: If a person is worthy to acquire humility and the fear of the LORD, he is worthy to acquire wealth and honor and life. And if not - "Thorns and snares are in the way of the crooked" (Proverbs 22:5); and everyone who is shrewd, "he who guards his soul keeps far from them."
