Bend Your Ear to the Sages of the Study House

"Incline your ear and hear the words of the wise" (Proverbs 22:17). If you have entered the study house and seen sages sitting and occupying themselves with the discussion of Torah, incline your ear and listen to their words, in order that you may keep them, as it is said, "For it is pleasant if you keep them in your belly" (Proverbs 22:18). "That your trust may be in the LORD, I have made it known to you this day, even to you" (Proverbs 22:19). Solomon said: I have made my wisdom known in this world so that it may be preserved for the generations.
