"As in water face reflects face" (Proverbs 27:19). Rabbi Chanina said: Does water then have a face? Rather, just as with this water, when a person places it in a vessel and gazes into it, it appears to you [reflecting your own face back], so too "the heart of a person to a person" [one person's heart is reflected in another's].
