Trickling waters are destined to issue forth from beneath the threshold of the Temple. From there onward it gathers strength and rises until it reaches the entrance of the house of David. When it reaches the entrance of the house of David it becomes a flowing stream in which men with discharges and women with discharges, menstruants, and women after childbirth bathe, as it is said: "On that day there shall be a fountain opened for the house of David and for the inhabitants of Jerusalem, for sin and for impurity" (Zechariah 13:1).
