Three Who Did Not Wait Out Their Hour of Ease

Yalkut Shimoni on Nach 57:1

"Why is his chariot so long in coming?" (Judges 5:28). Rabbi Elazar said: There are three who did not wait out six hours in their time of ease, and these are they: the first man [Adam], Israel, and Sisera. The first man, as it is written, "And they were not ashamed" (Genesis 2:25) — they did not last six hours in their state of ease. Israel, as it is written, "And the people saw that Moses delayed [boshesh]" (Exodus 32:1) — six hours came and Moses did not come. Sisera, as it is written, "Why is his chariot so long [boshesh] in coming?" Every day he was accustomed to come at the third hour or the fourth hour; now six hours came and he did not come.
