Ten kings ruled over the whole world:—God, Nimrod, Joseph, Solomon, Ahab, Nebuchadnezzar, Koresh (Ahas- uerus ruled over half). Alexander of Macedonia not only ruled over the whole world, but went also to the end of the desert and intended ascending to Heaven. And the Lord divided his kingdom into four parts, to the ends of the world. The ninth will be the Messiah and then the kingdom will return to the first ruler, i. e., God Himself, who will be the tenth.
