Reshimu — Divine Contraction

For it was on account of this that the contraction occurred at the beginning - so that a place would be found for evil that would be rectified, and the end of all would be good. Even according to the natural order, it is necessary that the line not join with the residue except after the clarification away from the evil, as stated above, since they are in gradation. For the contraction itself, from which the residue was born, we have already said was in this manner - that at first the evil would come out, and afterward that very evil would return to good. If so, the residue is not said to have completed its own matter unless it has brought out the evil, and afterward stands ready to return to good. If so, an actual joining must not be found except after it has brought out the evil, and afterward it is rectified in the secret of the return to good. For after the residue is completed, the line that comes after it begins.
