"And it shall be when you come to the land" (Exodus 12:25) — this is the land of the seven nations. "That the LORD will give to you and to your children" and so forth — this is the land of the three [nations]. "You shall keep this service" — it is revealed and known before the One who spoke and the world came into being that when Israel enters the land they are destined to perform the Passover. And so it says, "And the children of Israel encamped in Gilgal, and they kept the Passover on the fourteenth day of the month at evening in the plains of Jericho" (Joshua 5:10).
