"And the children of Israel did according to the word of Moses" (Exodus 12:35) — he said to them: Do not go wandering from quarter to quarter, so that you not appear like deceitful men. "And they asked of the Egyptians vessels of silver and vessels of gold and garments." From where do we know that the garments were more precious to them than everything?
