"And Moses said, this is the thing that the LORD has commanded: an omer of it shall be kept" (Exodus 16:32). Were I to say only this, I might think Aaron set it down only in the fortieth year. Scripture teaches (Exodus 16:34): "as the LORD commanded Moses, so Aaron laid it up before the Testimony." When was the ark made? Was it not in the second year? Hence Aaron laid it up only in the second year.
