"Now listen to my voice, I will give you counsel" (Exodus 18:19): if you listen, it will be good for you. "I will give you counsel, and may God be with you" [go out and consult in the matter with strength]: if it is approved for you, you can endure; and if not, you cannot endure. "Be you for the people opposite God": be for them like a vessel full of utterances. "And bring you the matters to God": the matters that you hear, come and present them favorably for them.
