(Proverbs 2:7): "He treasures up sound wisdom for the upright" - Rabbi Eliezer asked Rabbi Yehoshua, "Tell me, what is this verse?" He said to him: "My son, from the moment a person is formed in his mother's womb, that very Torah which he is destined to learn is treasured up for him; therefore it is said, 'He treasures up sound wisdom for the upright.' " "A shield to those who walk in integrity" - just as this shield protects a person, so too the Torah protects all who occupy themselves with it.
