(Leviticus 7:11:) "And this is the law of the sacrifice of the peace offerings." [Peace offerings are great] because they make peace between Israel and their Father in Heaven. R. Elazar haKappar says: Peace is great, for even when Israel worships idols, yet they form a single fellowship, the attribute of justice does not strike them, as it is said (Hosea 4:17): "Ephraim is joined to idols; let him alone." R. Levi said: Peace is great, for the Priestly Blessing concludes with nothing but peace, as it is said (Numbers 6:26): "and grant you peace." R.
