A Double Anointing - This World and the World to Come

Pesikta DeRav Kahana 1:6

[6] "And he anointed it and sanctified it" (Numbers 7:1). Since it is written "and he anointed it and sanctified it," to what end is it said "and he anointed them and sanctified them" (ibid.)? Rabbi Aibu said in the name of Rabbi Tahlifa of Caesarea, and Resh Lakish: One said, while he was anointing each and every one, he was anointing all of them as one. And the other said, "and he anointed them" means an anointing in this world and an anointing for the World to Come. And similarly, "and you shall couple the tent together" (Exodus 26:11), "and you shall couple the curtains" (ibid. 26:6). Rabbi Yudan and Rabbi Levi, Tahlifa of Caesarea and Resh Lakish: One said, while he was coupling all of them as one, he was coupling each and every one. And the other said, "and you shall couple the curtains, and the Tabernacle shall be one" (ibid.) — one for measuring and one for anointing.
