And Jacob, because he drew Her near to Her Master with his encounter, he certainly made it the evening prayer an obligation. From there onwards, he bound Her to him, which is the knot of the tephilin (phylacteries) of the hand, he binds Her to him, so that She would not move from him forever.
From the left-hand side, he binds Her with the phylacteries (tephilin) of the hand, which is on the left arm.
