Three Things That Returned to Their Place Exile Silver and the Writing of Heaven

Yalkut Shimoni on Nach 32:1

"Your fathers dwelt beyond the River in old time" (Joshua 24:2). This is one of three things that returned to their original place: exile, silver, and the writing of heaven. Exile, as it is written, "Your fathers dwelt beyond the River," and it is written, "This house he destroyed, and the people he exiled to Babylon" (Ezra 5:12). Silver, as it is written, "And they plundered Egypt" (Exodus 12:36), and it returned to Egypt, as it is written, "And it came to pass in the fifth year of King Rehoboam that Shishak king of Egypt came up" and so forth (1 Kings 14:25). The writing of heaven, as it is written, "Will you set your eyes upon it? It is gone" (Proverbs 23:5).
