(Genesis 46:7) "His sons and his sons' sons." Rabbi Yehudah bar Ilai said: The daughters of sons are like sons, but the sons of daughters are not like daughters. One verse says "his daughters," and another verse says "and Dinah his daughter." Rather, this teaches you that the "daughters" of Jacob were the wives of his sons, and all the offspring of Jacob married their sisters and their other kinswomen, so that they would not intermarry with the peoples of the land. Therefore they were called the seed of truth.
