The Right Hand of the LORD Shields the Receivers of Torah

"Your right hand, O LORD, is glorious in power" (Exodus 15:6). This teaches that the right hand of the Holy One, blessed be He, exacts punishment from the wicked and shields the righteous, for thus said the Holy One, blessed be He: "Let My right hand come and be a shade over those who are destined to receive the Torah from the right hand." Another interpretation: "Your right hand, O LORD, is glorious in power." In the Scroll of Lamentations it is written, "He has drawn back His right hand" (Lamentations 2:3). That is to say: when they did not wish to hear the Torah that was given from His right hand, they were made into a tributary, and the merit of the Torah turned backward. But when Israel fulfills the Torah, its merit will stand even for the resurrection of the dead, as it is said, "But go your way to the end; and you shall rest, and shall stand up to your lot at the end of the days" (Daniel 12:13). And the salvation is in the right hand, as it is said, "Save with Your right hand, and answer me" (Psalms 60:7).
