Ishmael and Eliezer Fear Isaac Was Slain at the Akedah

Midrash Aggadah, Genesis 22:20

"And it came to pass after these things" (Genesis 22:20). "After" (aharei) is adjacent; "after" (ahar) is removed. "After these things [devarim]" — there were musings of words [hirhurei devarim] there: Ishmael and Eliezer were musing, for they supposed that Isaac had been slaughtered; and the tidings came that his son's mate had been born.
