The Seven Things Hidden From Every Person in Midrash Aggadah

Midrash Aggadah, Genesis 27:2

"I do not know the day of my death" (Genesis 27:2). Seven things are hidden from a person. The first is death, as it is said, "For man does not know his time" (Ecclesiastes 9:12). The second is what is in the heart of his fellow, as it is said, "I the LORD search the heart" (Jeremiah 17:10). The third is the depth of judgment, as it is said, "For the judgment is God's" (Deuteronomy 1:17). The fourth is the way of the child to be born in the woman's womb, as it is said, "As you do not know the way of the wind" etc. (Ecclesiastes 11:5). The fifth is the day of the End, as it is said, "I the LORD will hasten it in its time" (Isaiah 60:22). The sixth is a person's end, as it is said, "Make me to know, O LORD, my end, and the measure of my days" etc. (Psalms 39:5). The seventh is when the wicked kingdom will fall, as it is said, "For the day of vengeance is in My heart" etc. (Isaiah 63:4). And once a person has reached the years of his fathers, let him be anxious about death.
