"Better is a poor man who walks in his integrity" (Proverbs 28:6) - this is Jacob; "than one crooked in his ways though he be rich" - this is Esau the wicked, who was created entirely like a hairy mantle, as it is said (Genesis 25:25): "all of him like a hairy mantle, and they called his name Esau."
Better the Poor Who Walks in Integrity Than Esau
Midrash Mishlei 28:1
