The Merit of Bowing in Worship from Abraham to the Ingathering

Midrash Shmuel 3:7

"And he worshipped there before the LORD" (there, the same place — 1 Samuel 1:28). Rabbi Yitzchak said: Everything is by the merit of bowing down in worship. Abraham returned from Mount Moriah in peace only by the merit of bowing down, as it is written, "and we will worship and return to you" (Genesis 22:5). Israel was not redeemed from Egypt except by the merit of bowing down, as it is written, "And the people bowed the head and worshipped" (Exodus 12:27). The Torah was not given except by the merit of bowing down, as it is written, "and worship from afar" (Exodus 24:1). The Temple was not built except by the merit of bowing down, as it is written, "Exalt the LORD our God, and worship at His footstool" (Psalms 99:5). And even the dead will not live again except by the merit of bowing down, as it is written, "Come, let us worship and bow down" (Psalms 95:6). And even the exiles will not be ingathered except by the merit of bowing down, as it is written, "And it shall come to pass on that day, that a great shofar shall be blown [and they shall worship the LORD on the holy mountain at Jerusalem]" (Isaiah 27:13).
