Moses Saves Jethro's Daughters From the Waters in Midian

Midrash Tanchuma Buber, Shemot 11:1

What is written above on the matter (in Exodus 2:16)? "Now the priest of Midian had seven daughters." What is written there (in verse 17)? "And the shepherds came and drove them away." What did they do to them? They seized them in order to throw them into the water. (As it continues:) "But Moses rose up and saved them." Now this expression is used only of rescue from water, as it is said (in Psalms 69:2): "Save me, O God, for the waters have reached my neck." (Exodus 2:17, continued:) "And he watered their flock." (Verse 18:) "When they came to Reuel their father." He was called by seven names: Jether, Jethro, Reuel, Hobab, [Heber,] Keni, Putiel.
