The Doubled Name of Noah and God's Oath to Comfort Jerusalem

Midrash Tanchuma Buber, Noach 6:4

Another interpretation of (Genesis 6:9) "Noah, Noah": one "Noah" is for this world, and one "Noah" is for the world to come. The Holy One, blessed be He, said: When we come to comfort Jerusalem, by Noah the righteous one I swear to her that I will no longer subject her children to bondage, as it is said (Isaiah 54:9), "For this is as the waters of Noah to Me."
