Another interpretation of (Proverbs 23:31): "When it gives its eye to the cup." He sees his fellow drinking and says, "Mix [a cup] for me, and I will drink." And he drinks, and he befouls himself in excrement and in urine. "It goes down smoothly" (Proverbs 23:31). And his end is to sell all the belongings of his house and all his utensils of use, and he is left with no garment and with no household utensils of use, and with nothing. And so, from [having] everything, "it goes down smoothly."
