Rabbi Shmuel bar Nachman said: Wherever it says "says the Lord [ha-Adon]," He uproots tenants and brings in tenants. The prime example among them all: "Behold, the ark of the covenant of the Lord of all the earth passes before you into the Jordan" (Joshua 3:11) -- He uproots the Canaanites and brings in Israel. "The Mighty One of Israel" (Isaiah 1:24). Rabbi Tanchum bar Chanilai said: their strength. And the Rabbis said: "the Mighty One of Israel" -- before the nations of the world.
