And about it is stated: (Ps. 22:1) To the conductor∞me-natze-aḥ on ayelet ha-shaḥar... (Ps. 12:1) To the conductor: Upon the eighth (shminit)... What is the eighth? Hod. And it is Netzaḥ which is upon it.
The eighth type of music is with ‘thanksgiving’ (hoda-ah). And David praised with it: (Ps. 136:1) Give thanks (hodu) to Y”Y... And this is most certainly Hod. To the conductor:∞me-natze-aḥ – Give thanks (hodu) – with those they allude to Netzaḥ and Hod, and they are ‘miracles’.
