Meanwhile, the Faithful Shepherd (Ra)’aya Me-heimna Moses arrived, with many sheep and oxen and goats, and a staff in his hand. He raised his eyes to the tower, and there came [Var. and he saw] one young man – ‘Righteous-one’ (tzadiq) is his name – who was sitting upon the tower with a bow in his hand, and he was shooting arrows towards the snake, and this is ‘the great ֡ pazer’.

And the bow is the tongue of the mouth, the ‘nut of the bow’ is the mouth, the thread of scarlet [this is the lip] [Var. of the lip], the cord of the bow [Var. Ḥesed], through which Righteous-one was shooting arrows – which are the utterances of prayer – towards the snake.
