And therefore, even if a snake is wound about his ankle, he should not interrupt, when he bows at ‘Blessed’ (barukh). And that which is stated:cxxxvBT Berakhot 33a ‘but he should interrupt for a scorpion’, is because they have established:cxxxviBT Yoma 85b ‘ (Lev. 18:5)... and live in them... and not that he should die in them.’
