One Who Keeps a Single Sabbath as If From Creation to Resurrection

Yalkut Shimoni on Torah 409:3

"A Sabbath of complete rest" (Exodus 35:2). In every place where there is a command to rest, we add from the ordinary day to the holy. "Whoever does work on it shall be put to death." Rabbi Yehudah ben Beteira says: Consider Gentiles who surrounded the cities of Israel and made them profane the Sabbath -- so that the Israelites should not say, "Since we have already profaned part of the Sabbath, let us profane the whole of it," the verse teaches, "those who profane it shall surely be put to death" (Exodus 31:14), even for as brief a moment as the blink of an eye. Rabbi Elazar ben Perata says: From where do you say that everyone who guards the Sabbath, it is reckoned to him as though he had made the Sabbath? As it is stated, "And the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath" (Exodus 31:16), and so on. Rabbi says: From where do you say that everyone who keeps a single Sabbath properly, it is reckoned to him as though he had kept all the Sabbaths from the day the Holy One, blessed be He, created them until the dead are revived? As it is stated, "And the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath... throughout their generations." "Everyone whose heart is willing" (Exodus 35:5).
