Why Noah Was Permitted Meat and Adam Was Not

Midrash Aggadah, Genesis 9:3

"Every moving thing that lives, etc." (Genesis 9:3). The meat of appetite was permitted to Noah, because he offered a sacrifice, and further because all stand destined for death; but to Adam it was not permitted, because all stood destined for life, until he sinned and it was decreed upon every creature to die. And why was it not permitted to Adam to eat meat? So that a sinner should not be rewarded.
