Saul Runs from Battle to Snatch the Tablets from Goliath

Midrash Shmuel 11:1

"And a man of Benjamin ran from the battle line and came to Shiloh that day, with his clothes torn and earth upon his head" (1 Samuel 4:12) — this is Saul. Rabbi Levi and Rabbi Simon and the Rabbis. One [Rabbi Levi] said: Sixty mil did Saul travel on that day. He was at the battle line, and he heard that the tablets had been captured, and he went and snatched them from the hand of Goliath, and came. And Rabbi Simon said: One hundred and twenty mil did Saul travel on that day. He was at Shiloh, and he heard that the tablets had been captured, and he went and snatched them from the hand of Goliath, and came. And the Rabbis said: One hundred and eighty mil did Saul travel on that day. He was at the battle line, and he fled to Shiloh, and he heard that the tablets had been captured, and he went and snatched them from the hand of Goliath, and came.
