"And Hannah prayed and said" (1 Samuel 2:1). Rav said: She began by arranging words together with confession. And likewise, "And Ezra prayed, and when he made confession" (Ezra 10:1) — Rav said: He began by arranging words together with confession. "My heart exults in the LORD." Rabbi Yirmiyah b'Rabbi Elazar said: Great is the strength of the righteous, for the entire world and all its fullness praise the Holy One, blessed be He, only with half of the Name — "Let every soul praise Yah, Halleluyah" (Psalms 150:6). But the righteous praise the Holy One, blessed be He, with the full Name: "Rejoice, O righteous ones, in the LORD" (Psalms 97:12); "Sing joyfully, O righteous ones, in the LORD" (Psalms 33:1); "My heart exults in the LORD."
