How Confusing Look-Alike Hebrew Letters Would Destroy the World

Midrash Shmuel 5:4

It is written, "Hear, O Israel, the LORD our God, the LORD is one" (Deuteronomy 6:4). If you make the dalet into a resh, you destroy the world. It is written, "For you shall not bow down to another god" (Exodus 34:14); if you make the resh into a dalet, you destroy the world. "And you shall not profane My holy name" (Leviticus 22:32); if you make the chet into a heh, you destroy the world. It is written, "Let every soul praise Yah, halleluyah" (Psalms 150:6); if you make the heh into a chet, you destroy the world. It is written, "They have denied the LORD" (Jeremiah 5:12); if you make the bet into a kaf, you destroy the world. It is written, "There is none holy as the LORD" (1 Samuel 2:2); if you make the kaf into a bet, you destroy the world. "For there is none besides You" (ibid.) — "for there is none apart from You."
