The Ox the Lamb and the Goat by the Merit of the Three Fathers

Pesikta DeRav Kahana 9:9

"An ox" (Leviticus 22:27), by the merit of Abraham, as it is written, "And Abraham ran to the herd" (Genesis 18:7). "A sheep," by the merit of Isaac, as it is written, "And behold, behind him a ram caught in the thicket by its horns" (ibid. 22:13). "A goat," by the merit of Jacob, as it is written, "Go now to the flock and fetch me from there two good kids of the goats" (ibid. 27:9). What is the meaning of "good"? Rabbi Berekhiah in the name of Rabbi Chelbo said: Good for you and good for your children. Good for you, for through them you receive blessings; and good for your children, for through them atonement is made for your children on the Day of Atonement, as it is written, "For on this day He shall make atonement for you" (Leviticus 16:30).
