"And now beware, and drink no wine or strong drink, and eat nothing unclean" (Judges 13:4). What is "anything unclean"? Rabbi Yitzchak of the school of Rabbi said: They say it means things forbidden to a nazirite. "And he shall begin to save Israel from the hand of the Philistines" (Judges 13:5). Rav Acha bar Chanina said: The oath of Abimelech was made profane [began to be undone], as it is written, "that you will not deal falsely with me, nor with my son, nor with my grandson" (Genesis 21:23).
