Abraham Isaac and Jacob Who Tasted the World to Come

Midrash Aggadah, Genesis 24:1

"And Abraham was old, advanced in days" (Genesis 24:1). "Old" (zaken) — this is one who has acquired wisdom. "Advanced in days" — for the Holy One, blessed be He, gave him a taste of a foretaste of the World to Come. And there were three who tasted of a foretaste of the World to Come, and these are they: Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Of Abraham it is said, "And the LORD blessed Abraham in all things." Of Isaac it is said, "and I ate of all" (Genesis 27:33). And of Jacob it is said, "and of all that You give me I will surely set aside a tenth for You" (Genesis 28:22). Another interpretation: "and because I have all" (Genesis 33:11).
