"Behold, we perish, we are lost" (Numbers 17:27). "We perish" — in the affair of the calf, as it is said, "And the LORD plagued the people" (Exodus 32:35). "We are lost" — in the company of Korach, as it is said, "And the earth covered over them, and they perished from the midst of the assembly" (Numbers 16:33). "All of us are lost." "And those who died in the plague were..." (verse 14).
