Another interpretation of "And let them take for Me an offering" (Exodus 25:2): Every freewill gift concerning which "for Me" is said has a blessing in it. This offering has a blessing in it. Rabbi Yochanan said: Israel brought all the work of the Tabernacle within two mornings. From where do we know this? As it is said, "And they still brought to him freewill offerings morning by morning" (Exodus 36:3) — for a blessing was placed in the offering of the Tabernacle. [Therefore it says,] "And let them take for Me an offering."

ד"א ויקחו לי תרומה. כל נדבה שנאמר בה לי, יש בה ברכה, התרומה הזו יש בה ברכה, אמר ר' יוחנן כל מלאכת המשכן הביאו ישראל לשני בקרים, מנין, שנאמר והם הביאו אליו עוד נדבה בבקקר בבקר (שמות לו ג), שניתנה ברכה בתרומת המשכן, ויקחו לי תרומה.
