[“Before him, unto Esau his brother” (Genesis 32:4).] What is the meaning of “before him”? Before him he falls heir to the kingship, for the kingship in this world is his; but you take it up at the last. “Unto Esau his brother”—and the Holy Spirit says: Jacob is sending unto Esau.
