Why Esau Said Pour the Stew Into My Mouth in Tanchuma

Midrash Tanchuma Buber, Toldot 4:2

Another interpretation: "Let me gulp down" (hal'iteni). "Give me" is not written here, but rather "Let me gulp down." He said to him: "Let me gulp down." He gave it to him in an inferior portion. He said to him: "Are you giving it to me in an inferior portion? Pour the pot into my mouth!" For the term hal'atah (gulping down) is nothing other than the term for pouring. For thus our Rabbis taught (in Mishnah Shabbat 24:3): "One does not force-feed the camel, nor cram it, but one may feed it fully (mal'itin)." Therefore he said, "Let me gulp down."
