For such ‘souls’ (nishmatin) are from the throne, and from this ḥayah are ‘spirits’∞ruḥin, and from ophan are ‘animating-souls’ (naphshin), and they are in the domains of: ‘Creation’ (briyah), ‘Formation’ (ye-tzirah), ‘Making’ (’asiyah).
On Sabbath and Festivals, souls, spirits and animating-souls descend upon them, by way of ‘emanation’ (atzilut), which are the spirit of holiness from the 10 sephirot. And each appointed angel instructs merit over its own ‘birds’, which are the souls that fly-forth into humans. And when Israel fulfils this commandment of sending the nest, each appointed-one instructs merit over its ‘birds’.
