Jacob Rebukes Joseph and the Moon Points to Bilhah

"And his father rebuked him" (Genesis 37:10). He said to him: Is this how you will rebuke prophets? As it is written, "Why have you [not] rebuked Jeremiah the Anathothite" (Jeremiah 29:27). "And he said to him, What is this dream that you have dreamed?" Thus Jacob supposed that the resurrection of the dead would take place in his own days. "Shall we indeed come, I and your mother and your brothers?" But behold, Rachel your mother has died, and yet you say "the sun and the moon." And Jacob our father did not know that the matter referred to Bilhah, Rachel's handmaid, who raised him as his mother.
