Another interpretation: "The wise shall inherit glory" (Proverbs 3:35) — these are Moses and Aaron. "But fools carry away shame" (ibid.) — these are Dathan and Abiram. Why? When the manna came down for Israel, Moses said, "Let no one leave any of it over until morning" (Exodus 16:19), but they did not listen to Moses, [and certain men left some of it over until morning (Exodus 16:19-20).
